Clinical Evaluations
DUI Clinical Evaluations: Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol will require an evaluation to identify any possible substance use needs you may have, such as needed treatment or education. This evaluation process satisfies both probation requirements and driver license reinstatement requirements.
Alcohol and Drug Evaluations: identify substance use or co-occurring challenges for your own knowledge or to satisfy legal mandates.
Anger Management Evaluations: identify behavioral triggers that are causing personal or legally challenges in your life. These specialized assessments help you satisfy legal mandates, while gaining emotional control and personal insight.
Mental Health Evaluations: identify behavioral, mental, emotional, or substance use challenges to create personal goals for change and improvement. This can be for your own knowledge or to satisfy legal mandates.
Individual Therapy (ages 16 thru Geriatrics)
Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, involves one-on-one sessions with a therapist in a safe, confidential setting. It helps clients explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, address challenging memories, identify areas for change, understand themselves and others, set personal goals, improve important relationships, and experience a more fulfilling internal world.

UCC FAQs
Q :
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
A :
Therapy is a valuable resource for anyone facing life's challenges, seeking personal growth, or managing mental health concerns. If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to understand yourself better, Universal Care Counseling provides a safe space to explore these feelings with professional guidance.
Q :
What should I expect in my first session?
A :
Your first session is primarily an intake and introductory meeting. We'll discuss your history, current symptoms, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. It's a time for us to get to know each other and for you to decide if our therapeutic approach feels right for you.
Q :
How often should I attend therapy sessions?
A :
Most individuals start with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. Depending on your needs and goals, we may adjust the frequency over time. Consistency is key to seeing lasting progress.
Q :
Do I have to take medication to be in therapy?
A :
No. Medication alone cannot solve all issues. What medication does is treat the symptoms. Our work together is designed to explore the root of the issue, dig deep into your behavior and emotions to learn strategies that can help you accomplish your goals.
